Engineer Downer EDI Shares in Downer gained as much as 1.3%, or 9 cents, to $6.79 in early trade. The company declared a final dividend of 12.5 cents, after eight cents in 2007, bringing total dividends for the year to 25.5 cents after 21 cents last year. The dividends are not franked.
