History seems to repeat itself. What is happening in Georgia, is a sign of what is to come from Russia. The USA, NATO and the European Community are not ready to defend the freedoms previously won. In 1936 German troops entered the Rhineland and our allies did nothing.
In 2008 Russian troops invade Georgia and the same. In1936 Germany made two alliances; in 2008 and prior Russia made important alliances with Iran and China.
Back then Germany did not keep its word, and now Russia is not keeping its word or abiding by the peace treaty. Now as before Russia has begun to take back the land they lost through democratic elections when the country broke up.
NATO, The European Community, America and the rest of the free world as in the past with Chamberlain can not afford to believe that Russia faced with the prospects of war with the free world, will stop its aggression. We all were wrong before in 1936 and will be wrong again in 2008 if we take Russia at its word.
Keep smiling.....
