Overview
In early 2006, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Sullivan Univeristy. Shortly after that, I was recruited by the Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel Shared Services Center here in town to work as a staff accountant/billing specialist.

During my time there, I have gathered a good understanding of the primary accounting system we use, only through my own investigation and intuitive understanding of abstract ideas. I am now the most knowledgable in the office when it comes to setting up the customer accounts for the various billing configurations we use. This knowledge has earned me the respect of my peers.

Recently, I have started teaching myself Visual Basic for Applications for Microsoft Excel. This is an interesting tool within Excel. With this knowledge, I have created a number of macros and functions that my coworkers find quite useful in their day-to-day functions.

One of my primary roles is to prepare monthly bills for many of AUCA's national customers. I also maintain the customers' accounts--bill-to and ship-to addresses, payment terms, etc.--in our software.

My primary duties involved reconciling the hotel's cash accounts to the bank records, starting in 2005. In the course of these reconciliations, I discovered that many credit card charges had not successfully gone through the system, some going back as much as a year. This discovery allowed the hotel to collect a few thousand dollars had had been stuck out in the system, unprocessed. I also helped gather data for the auditors.
