More about Kristy Bennett

Overview
As a licensed attorney in Mississippi, I have 7 years of litigation experience, having tried over 20 cases in the federal and state courts throughout the state. My experience has largely been plaintiff's practice focused on employment related matters, civil rights violations against governmental entities and various other areas of law. I've had the opportunity to work as an insurance defense attorney before returning to plaintiff's practice and then on to community organizing and legislative work for the ACLU. While I have not had any focus in criminal work, I've tried several criminal matters and handled probation violation hearings. I have accumulated a vast knowledge of all aspects of litigation and most enjoy simply being there for my clients.

As a statewide organization, we are faced with a variety of issues in most every area of life and while our focus is on protecting and upholding the civil liberties of the people, our goal is to provide assistance, when possible, to anyone with a demonstrated need.
