Places I have worked
Nazareth College of Rochester Since January 2008
1000-4999 employees
Adjunct Faculty
I teach Advanced Graphic Design and Advertising Design courses. The courses further the development of fundamental graphic design concepts and forms, with an emphasis on real world application of layout and design skills. The vocabulary and language associated with graphic design, advertising, and the creative production processes are covered. Students utilize different mediums to develop a variety of projects and advertisements during the courses. The primary learning tool is a series of design projects that involve the preparation of creative pieces for a variety of situations. The projects are supported by theory lectures and self study reading.

Day Automation Systems Since July 2007
100-999 employees
Director of Marketing
At Day I am working to help breathe new life into the company’s products and corporate identity. I was hired to build a marketing department and communications program from the ground up, and to improve the design and usability of their proprietary RIA (rich internet application) ERP product. To date, I have researched and implemented an enterprise wide CRM system, worked with account executives to create sales tools, and have established a baseline for communications consistency. I’m currently leading the effort for an overhaul of their brand design across all customer touch points, including products, multiple web presences, collateral, trade show, and service automobile fleet.

Element K From October 1999 to July 2007
100-999 employees
Director of Creative Services
As the Director of Creative Services and senior Creative Director at Element K, I oversaw a global matrix organization of over 100 designers and technical media professionals. My department provided custom audio, video and photo design services to all of the company’s business units. We delivered high volume, tight deadline work to a number of Fortune 100 and 500 companies. During my tenure at Element K, I defined job titles, functional roles, departmental mission, vision, goals and metrics. I increased production volumes, and improved the level and complexity of rich media content while reducing communication and management overheads between US and off shore teams. As the owner of the company’s brand, I drove significant improvements in their web presence, collateral, and advertising while maintaining a consistent voice.

Visual In-Seitz, Inc. From May 1994 to October 1999
10-99 employees
Multimedia Producer
As a Producer at In-Seitz, I worked on all sides of a project, including pitching ideas that won business, managing budgets, conceiving the “big idea” and driving production goals. I learned how an advertising and communications agency works with a lot of hands on experience. I was able to put my creativity and keen eye for design and art direction to use across different mediums for a number of high profile clients. I developed attract loops, motion graphics, video, animation, CBT, print collateral, and staged live events.

Education
Nazareth College of Rochester - United States / NEW YORK
