| Kid Rock: Rockin' the house, in more ways than one |
| |
They were married for all of five minutes last year, it seems, but Kid Rock still has plenty to say about his ex-wife, Pamela Anderson. He just did an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that's generating some buzz. In the interview, he claims that during an incident when she wanted to spend time with him (and he had Lakers seats, on the floor!), Pam lied to him about suffering a miscarriage. But Pam's publicist insists that when she said she had a miscarriage, she was telling the truth.
The two were married in July of last year and filed for divorce in November. Anderson, meanwhile, is working on another last name. The ex of not only Kid Rock but fellow rocker Tommy Lee of '80s hair band Motley Crue (who actually had his own longest marriage -- several years -- with primetime beauty Heather Locklear, but we don't need to get into any more than that, do we? and really -- just what IS it with that rock star / actress supermodel cliche, anyway?) has just gotten a marriage license in Vegas with Rick Salomon (dunno who he is -- anyone?). WHEW! ... OK, then ...
At any rate, Kid Rock's General Lee car is featured in a current exhibit at the arena at Henry Ford Museum in Metro Detroit. The Rock Stars' Cars & Guitars exhibit seems to have Kid Rock written all over it, anyway, since he's a Metro Detroit native. Visitors to the exhibit not only can see his blazin'-orange 1969 Dodge Charger, a la "The Dukes of Hazzard," but also hear through special exhibit phones how he loves to do a few dirt-field tricks in the classic speed-machine. (Hey, just be careful, I say -- a friend of mine who also owns a General Lee and lives in Metro Detroit got busted a couple months back for kickin' up some dust in a nearby suburban park!)
