A haunted house as the backdrop and the grim reaper officiating -- now that's a wedding!
And hey, some would say that marriage was hell, but the wedding, too? Well, it was, quite frankly, for a couple in Berea, Ohio, who just recited their vows in the 7 Floors of Hell haunted house's outdoor cemetery where they both work.
One of the coworkers of Tina Milhoane and Robert Seifer said it was the sweetest wedding he’d ever been to. We’re assuming he meant sa-weet! rather than sugar-coated or anything like that!
The groom arrived in a hearse and emerged from a coffin. Well-wishing zombies and witches looked on. And, in a move that would make any modern-day fundamentalist burst into flames, the officiating grim reaper read the Lord’s Prayer. (There are photos! Really! Click here to see CNN’s story!)
And if that isn’t enough Halloween fun (and really, it’s all about fun, isn’t it? Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays, not because I was into demon worship or pagan rituals or anything like that – I usually dressed up like Supergirl or Batgirl!), then the news comes across today that one of my favorite author’s most famous tales is getting a new big-screen treatment. Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” will get a new telling, by filmmakers Ridley Scott and bro Tony Scott. Cool! I’ll be there!
Have a safe and happy Halloween, and eat gobs of candy! Because hey, even here in the Bible Belt, we can always appreciate some great candy!
