| Caroline Kennedy is out and about, promoting a new book. This time, the daughter of the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis takes on the theme of Christmas.
Kennedy appeared at Borders Books in Ann Arbor, Mich., yesterday to discuss and sign “A Family Christmas.” The book was just released a week or two ago by Hyperion and explores the holiday through the eyes of several famous figures, up to and including her own dad, who as president once sent a letter to a child concerned about the welfare of Santa Claus. Mark Twain, Pearl S. Buck, Truman Capote, Ogden Nash, Vladimir Nabokov, Marianne Moore, Martin Luther King Jr. and E.B. White and among the other voices represented in the book.
This isn’t the first time John-John’s older sister has taken to the pen (or laptop), by any means. Besides editing a book of poetry by her mother, she’s co-authored “The Right to Privacy” and “In Our Defense: The Bill of Rights in Action.” The Radcliffe grad and wife of designer and businessman Edwin Schlossberg is regarded as the “Last Child of Camelot,” at least according to author Christopher Andersen.
